I have been making instruments for over twenty years and made my first instruments on courses during my the school holidays in Germany, then working with a harp maker in Scotland for six months prior to joining the London College of Furniture, by then the City of London Polytechnic, in 1992.
After a six year training in making baroque instruments, violins and guitars/mandolins I graduated with an honours degree in 1998. In 2002 I moved to Ramsgate, Kent in the south east of England where I share a workshop with my wife, the hurdy-gurdy maker Claire Dugué.
