Bouzouki Bb1
The Bb1 has a bright an focused sound and I often use this body shape with a short scale as an octave mandolin with the emphasis on playing tunes.
As with all the other instruments I make, my focus is on the precision of the sound, with the strings clearly separated and good projection. I first used a port hole ( sound hole in the sides) on a carved top bouzouki to overcome the fact that most of the sound is projected into the audience, leaving precious little for the player to hear and is now a standard feature with all my instruments.
Each instrument is individually made and can be customised. My first choice for the sound board is European spruce, for the back and sides I generally use indian rosewood as a standard but I can offer a variety of other high quality woods: figured maple, walnut, padouk, wengé, bubinga and others.

The BIVf is a large bouzouki with a warmer bass end and a lot of power to play big chords plus added visual impact.
The BV is a large-bodied bouzouki but in a more traditional shape.
